My two dogs died from bleeding out of mouth.nose in less than 24 hours. No known poison aval to them.Why?
The died very quickly before they could get to the vet, did not seem that sick, just a little bloody at first. One inside dog, one outside dog. I searched for any poison on the property and could find none. They did eat avocados though, but this seems strange to die tso quick and the other dogs I have are ok.
Bleeding from the nose and mouth sounds like poison. Rat poisons kill rats by causing internal bleeding (anticoagulants). In dogs, it causes the same symptoms: bleeding from nose, mouth, and anus. Is it possible they caught and/or ate a rat that could have been poisoned elsewhere and so they suffered from exposure to the poison via the rat? Or is it possible that neighbors have put out rat poison and your dogs have come across it somehow?
