avocado seeds for sale
avocado seeds online for sale ?

where can i buy acocado seeds online ? 10 points for best answer

Why online? Any store that sells avocados has them. They're inside the avocado.

Recently, I was asked to evaluate the Image skin care product line. They seem like good products, judging by the information that you can get at their website. But, there is some missing information.

First of all, you can't order the products on line, unless you are a spa owner or a retailer. If you are a retailer, you can't sell the products online. Apparently, you have to call to place an order or buy them in a spa, which, of course, means talking to a salesperson.

I have no problem with salespeople, but I used to be one. So, I know their tricks. They want you on the phone so that they can explain "why" their products are so expensive.

They can tell you about all of the benefits, before they give you a price. By the time that the sales pitch is over, most people will buy, without doing any comparative shopping and that's what the salesperson wants.

I can't tell how much Image skin care products cost, because I didn't make the call. I didn't see any reason to, when there are other products on the market that contain more effective ingredients and sale for a reasonable price. The bottles are larger, so I don't have to reorder as often. Plus, I can order them online, which is important to me.

Let's say you are looking for an effective anti-aging cream. Image's "bio-peptide" cream is one of the products that the company offers for that purpose. They actually have several others, but this one contains the most "active" ingredients.

It is designed at use for night, which is a good time to use an anti-aging cream, because the cellular rejuvenation processes go on while you sleep. The key ingredients in the Image skin care "crème" are aloe, olive oil, apricot oil, green tea, coenzyme Q10, hyaluronic acid, red clover extract, Shea butter, grape seed and cucumber extracts, as well as a polypeptide complex.

Those are very similar to the ingredients in the product that I use. It contains Shea butter, palm oil, avocado oil, active manuka honey, natural vitamin E, coenzyme Q10 and a patented from of keratin (a protein similar to that found in the skin) called CYNERGY TK. During the day, I use a moisturizer that contains it, too. It has been clinically proven to stimulate the production of new cells, increase firmness, improve the skin's moisture content, reduce inflammation and act as an antioxidant.

The Image skin care line claims to provide similar results, but they don't publish studies to back up those claims. There is no doubt that many of the ingredients in their products are good. My only concern is about the inclusion of red clover, which should not be used by everyone due to its estrogenic activity.

Make no mistake about it. The inclusion of hyaluronic acid is not as beneficial as kelp extracts, which prevent the reduction of the glucose/amino complex. I believe that you can find something better than the Image skin care line and probably for a much more reasonable price.

Muscle twitch, what can I do?

Any fast acting muscle twitch ideas? I have one in my calf, it's small and doesn't hurt, and it's really starting to annoy me. I've rubbed it, flexed it, even hit it a few times out of frustration lol. Nothing is helping!
I really need to take a nap, and I can't because it won't stop. grr..
And I don't have any bananas or avocados to eat for potassium.
Maybe I should ice it? or use a heating pad?

water is what drives all of our muscles. and if you don't have enough of it, then your muscles start to get stressed. make sure that you are drinking lots and lots of water each day so that your muscles stay hydrated and a big bonus from that is that you'll feel wonderful as well. You can also look for waters with extra electrolytes in them as well.

Potassium is a mineral that most of us don’t think about too often. Interestingly, it is also a mineral that can help the skin in many different ways. How much do you know about potassium and your skin?

Potassium helps muscles to keep their control over the body. Potassium also helps with the growth of new cells. When your body is able to produce new cells, your skin will become healthier. The question is: where can you get your daily dose of potassium?

There are lots of skin care products that include potassium. Then again, you’ll have to be careful about what type of product you use (more on that topic below). However, this happens to be one mineral that you can get from the foods that you eat. Foods that are high in potassium include:

• Meat, Fish, and Poultry
• Apricots
• Avocado

Many other fruits and vegetables are also high in potassium. The trick is to eat enough potassium for your skin to benefit from it, but you shouldn’t overindulge in potassium either. As with most other things, there is a fine line between eating a proper amount and eating too much.

Potassium also helps to relieve any stressful or anxious feelings that you might have; it can reduce the risk of high blood pressure; and it may even be able to prevent stroke. Just think – one small mineral that most people never even think about can help with all of these things.

You may also decide to take a potassium supplement. These supplements are great if you don’t get enough potassium regularly. Of course, you must make sure that you choose a supplement that is good for your body. This means that you must select one that is all natural.

In fact, any skin care products that aren’t made from natural ingredients tend to be rather poor. Some of these chemically concocted products may even harm your skin. This is why it’s important to constantly read the back of any skin care product label.

While you do need to have a good amount of potassium in your diet in order to create healthy skin, you must also make sure that you use only good skin care products. Otherwise, simply try and get your potassium from the foods that you eat.

Now that you know a bit more about potassium, you can begin to adjust your diet accordingly. It may be difficult to keep up with all of the things that are good for your skin, but it’s also important. Since you will have the same skin for the rest of your life (there’s no possibility of trading that skin in!), it makes sense to take care of it.

There are lots of minerals in the world that can really help your skin. The more that you read about your skin, the better off your skin will be. When it comes to skincare, knowledge really is all the power that you need...of course, a healthy dose of potassium doesn’t hurt either.

What's an avocado mask recipe?

My friend and I want to make a face mask with some avocado, but can't find any good recipes. :'( Post some that will moistorize the skin but won't cause acne. :D

First recipe is for Avocado Face Mask for Dry and Sensitive Skin

Ingredients:

1 avocado

3-4 drops of almond oil

Preparation

* Peel and mash avocado and add almond oil until the mass is consistent.
* Apply to face while massaging it gently.
* Let it rest for 30 minutes and rinse off with warm water.

Before you move on to the next mask, here is avocado trivia for you:

Can you answer this? Is avocado a fruit or vegetable?

It's a fruit :) For some reason, I always thought it was a vegetable.

On to the next facial mask....

Moisturizing Avocado facial mask recipe

Ingredients:

1 avocado

1 teaspoon of apple vinegar

1 egg white

3 teaspoons of olive oil

Preparation:

* Peel and mash avocado and start adding the rest of the ingredients. Egg white should be beaten before you put it in.
* When the mass is done, apply to face and wash off after 20 minutes or so.
* This mask provides great moisture for skin, making it soft and elastic.

I use both of these masks weekly and really like the results that I get. I also recommend them to all my friends who like sun tanning, they are an excellent way to replenish the skin's moisture after a long day in the sun :)

STOP wasting time trying out expensive, chemicals-filled skin care products. Save money and make your own facial masks now.

So you are seriously thinking of making a homemade face mask, well here are some fun ideas that are sure to work in one way or the other. First off you have to determine what type of skin you have whether it is oily, dry, normal, and so on, and remember you can extend your face mask to your neck, arms and shoulders to give you that all round finished look. Face masks have been used since the beginning of time; in the olden days people used to make face masks out of natural ingredients to keep their face soft and smooth.

You can use some natural ingredients found in your kitchen to whip up a face mask that will have your skin looking smooth, glowing and toned in just a few minutes. Ingredients such as eggs, almonds, honey, cucumber, avocados, skimmed milk and fruits and vegetable can be used to make simple face masks that actually work wonders for the skin. It is also important to use ingredients that are best suited to your skin, as some people are allergic to such things as milk, eggs and nuts among other things, so be sure to choose the right ingredient that suits your skin type best.

Some homemade face masks have been known to give excellent results, but some say the secret to getting the best results out of your homemade face mask is relaxation. When you are giving yourself a face mask treatment you should not be doing the dishes or ironing your clothes, you should put up your feet and watch some television or read a good book. This way your face and your whole body will be benefiting from this process. Also in order for face masks to be really effective you should do this procedure once a week, don't think that you can do it just one time and you will see a great improvement, you have to follow up and in time you will notice a vast improvement in your skin.

The best recommended homemade face masks are those that are gentle on the skin, such as the yogurt and strawberry face masks, the recipe calls for three tablespoons of yogurt and three large strawberries. After you have whipped them together, you simply apply it to your face and put your feet up and relax for about ten minutes, then rinse it off with water. The yogurt is supposed to clean and nourish the skin while the strawberries help exfoliates the dead skin cells.

Where do the rich live and hang out in Tokyo?

And no, I am not a gold digger ... just a lowly writer doing some research and too poor to go to Tokyo right now. Also in the earnest gathering of information I came across a few items.
1) In the here today and gone tomorrow culture of Tokyo does the floating bar still exist?
2) Where in Tokyo would a start up PR company find affordable office space?
3) Where do the Japanese go to ski? Horse back riding? And
Sail?
4) Where in Tokyo could a person play a friendly game of Hockey?
5) Are there avocados in Japan?
6) What is the Hanakotoba flower arrangement for
(a)"I accept" . (b)"Forgive me''. and (c)"You're beautiful".

I have many more questions, but I'll start with these. I appreciate all your answers. Thanks in Advance.

I suppose rich people people hang out in Ginza and Akasaka. For sailing in the Kanto area folks go to Kamakura. There is a very nice national dingy training centre in Onnahama, Fukushima that I have been to for the Laser radial nationals. There are riding clubs here and there on the outskirts of Tokyo. The national equestrian centre is in Karuizawa. These guys below seem to take their hockey pretty seriously, but you can play beer league or just shinny at the Tokyo area rinks as well.

Skin care for men? Had you asked this question around a decade ago most people would have laughed - But not today; men skin care products is a business that runs into staggering amount of dollars annually.
Yes that is true – in today’s world men are no less in the race for looking younger and handsome and they are ready to spend for it too.

Why specifically to men? Because men’s skin is different from women’s skin and that precisely is the reason skin care for men is a totally different ball game.

There are many products out there in market having claims that go on and on. But are they really effective? You need to ask this question to yourself before actually trying the product. The answer should be simple. If the product is natural and has very high level of active ingredients then that products is safe and effective.

Let’s take a look at few natural and effective skin care products targeted only for men.

<b>Age Defense Facial fluid</b>
As the name suggests such facial fluids help you fight the visible signs of aging like wrinkles, sagging skin, and lines around your eyes.

<b>Hydrating Mask</b>
It helps you provide the required moisturizer to your facial skin. All you need to do it use it every two weeks and rest assured your friends are bound to notice the difference.

Well all said and done you might ask this question that – my girlfriend or my wife already has these products and I can use them. Do not commit this mistake. Men’s skin is different from women’s skin. These products are formulated keeping in mind the structure, texture and needs of men. That is why if you use a women’s skin care product it might not work for you.

Also all these products have following cutting edge ingredients that make them far superior than their counterparts.

<b>Cynergy TK</b>
<b>Avocado Oil</b>
<b>Phytessence wakame</b>
<b>CoEnzyme Q10</b>

Your next step – stop using women’s skin care products if you are doing so – look out for products targeted towards skin care for men. Rest assured you will feel the difference from day one when you start using them.

Have you ever wondered if you could get back that fresh young skin like you had in your earlier years? Always trying to find a way to reclaim your beautiful skin without using hazardous products or getting facial surgery of any kind? Find out how to reclaim your skin.

You knew you had to do something about it -- the aging signs are beginning to appear. And now, it's a bit more difficult to maintain your healthy glowing skin. But, there is a way to reclaim that fresh young skin of yours.

The first thing to realize is... those aging signs are reversible, believe it or not. But, be serious about looking after your aging skin. Disregard all those skin care ads with big promises. Why? Their products contain chemical ingredients and you want ingredients that will promote firm, tone, elastic, and pliant skin.

Therefore, try to stay away from the harmful ingredients. For instance: acrylamide, mineral oil, alcohols, and propylene glycol because they're unsafe and damaging to your health.

So, what should be in natural products to regain your fresh young skin look? Ingredients proven safe and effective. Skin care products that will rejuvenate your skin by providing natural ingredients that work like jojoba, avocado and grapeseed oil. These oils are natural emollients that nourish, heal and moisturize your skin.

To truly regain young looking skin you'll need products containing natural active ingredients that will have your complexion glowing. But, because of the aging process, our bodies produce less collagen and elastin proteins. Those are the two vital proteins responsible for young looking skin. Therefore, more collagen and elastin is needed to counterbalance skin aging.

But, don't go looking for skin care "collagen added" products because they don't work. The collagen can't penetrate into the skin because the collagen protein molecules are far too big to be absorbed through your skin's pores. However, a natural active ingredient has been researched and developed to boost your body's production of collagen.

No harmful ingredients or needless surgeries, an ingredient that regains your fresh young skin is called Cynergy TK. A New Zealand skin care company has developed a method of naturally boosting collagen and elastin production. Since Cynergy TK will cause your body to produce its own natural supply of collagen and elastin, it increases the formation of new skin cells, improves skin elasticity and moisture, and provides antioxidant properties that stop free radical damage.

Now that you know how to regain fresh young skin using natural ingredients, look for skin care products that contain the Cynergy TK, Phytessence Wakame and Nano Lipovbelle HEQ10 ingredients. Visit my website today to learn more about effective natural substances, and find your healthy skin care product which contains active ingredients that will reclaim your young, vibrant and beautiful complexion.

avocado oil benefits for skin
avocado oil benefits for skin

Reading the ingredients on skin care products can be quite confusing.  The labels use terms such as pentapeptides 3, Rentinyl, Palmitate  and Ascorbyl Pamitate and to the average person these terms are bewildering.  However, terms such as the ones listed above are clinical names of very common vitamins.

Just as our body needs the necessary nourishment and proper about of vitamins to stay healthy, the same is true with our skin care program.  In order to have a healthy complexion our face, neck and cleavage area needs nourishment too.

Below are is a short list of typical clinical terms used in skin care products and the common term associated with it.

Vitamin A - also known as Retinal Palmitate. A vitamin A derivative which is commonly found in skin care products are retinoid.  Products such as Retinol contain Vitamin A, however there is such a small amount of the vitamin A derivative that it may take some time to actually reap the benefits.  Vitamins play an important part in our overall health.  Vitamin A gives the most benefits to the eyes.  If you suffer from blurred vision, dry eyes, or night vision blindness you may have a Vitamin A deficiency.  Additionally, Vitamin A is recommended by dermatologists to maintain youthful and smooth skin and also responds well to Acne breakouts. Vitamin A increases blood flow, stimulates the skin and protects against sunburn.  Beta carotene is found in dark green leafy vegetables, carrots and apricots, has been found to good for skin, as they convert to Vitamin A.

Vitamin A - Facial Mask
1 cup milk
1 tsp. honey
1/2 cup fuller's earth
1 tsp. of apricot essential oil for normal skin.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly and apply to face.  Wait 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water.

Vitamin B's - B3 is known as niacin and B-5 is known as pantothenic acid.  Vitamin B plays in important part in your overall health and in your skin care regimen. B-Complex Vitamins support health of the skin and hair.  The American Academy of Dermatology cites vitamins B-3 and B-5 as popular additions to skin products, mostly because they help hold moisture in. In a study (funded by Procter and Gamble), B vitamins were shown to be effective exfoliates; that is, they removed dead surface skin cells that clump up and make skin texture appear dull.  Another study was done testing B5, B3 and Vitamin E on skin with rosaceous, skin treated with this product experienced a 36% increase in hydration, although it's not clear if this improvement was from vitamin E or the B vitamins.

Avocado Mask Recipe
1 egg yolk
Half avocado
1tbls honey
Peel and mash the avocado with a fork.. In separate bowl, mix the egg yolk and honey together, then and add to the pulp. Use the mixture immediately, applying to your face, neck and shoulders. Leave for at least 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Finish with a toner and moisturizer. Avocado contains:  Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin B1 (thiamine) Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), Niacin, Folate, Pantothenic Acid, and Vitamin B6.

Vitamin C - also known as L-ascorbic acid and its greatest benefit in skin care is it antioxidants to repair sun damage and defend against free radicals.  Additionally, Vitamin C enhances repairing sun damage and enhances the production of collagen.

Vitamin C facial serum recipe:
1/4 teaspoon Vitamin C also known as L-ascorbic acid. Do not use vitamin C tablets or calcium Ascorbate.
1 teaspoon glycerin
1 teaspoon water (preferably distilled)

Dissolve the l-ascorbic acid in 1 teaspoon of water in small glass sterilized container. Make sure the acid has dissolved before proceeding. Add 1 teaspoon glycerin and mix well. Apply once a day, preferably at night and increase to twice daily if your skin tolerates the serum. Store in dark container and refrigerate. Light will degrade vitamin C, therefore, it is important to watch for yellowing of your serum, this indicates that the vitamin C is oxidized. Once oxidized the vitamin C has lost it usefulness as a facial serum that delivers nutrients to the skin. As it undergoes oxidation the ascorbic acid takes on a yellowish tinge, so it is important to check your creams or serums before you put them on your face, and if there is any yellow discoloration, discard. Vitamin C in skin care offers many benefits such as reducing blotchiness, stimulates collagen, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and also protect against sun damage.

Avocado and avocado oil offers so many benefits when used in your skin products. Did you know that avocado contains vitamins A, B1, B2 and D, lecithin, potassium as well as vitamin E. In addition to the vitamins it contains proteins and more than 20% essential fatty acids (amino acids). It is a sought after skin care ingredient because it has so much to offer.

Avocados are used in anti-aging products because of its nourishing and hydrating abilities. The Department of Food Engineering and Biotechnology, Technion Israel Institute of Technology in 1991 found that avocado oil significantly increases collagen in the skin which is why it is commonly found in antiaging products. Furthermore because of its deep penetration into the skin it is a perfect ingredient to combat dry skin. For those that suffer with eczema or psoriasis avocado offers healing properties that will relive dryness. Both avocado and avocado oil is gentle and well tolerated by those with sensitive skin.

In addition to its moisturizing and healing properties, it is also high in sterolins, AKA plant steroids, which are reported to diminish age spots and heal scars.

Below are a few avocado skin care recipes:

Facial Mask for Dry Skin
1/2 avocado
1 teaspoon almond oil (Note if allergic to nuts use different oil such as jojoba oil or olive oil). Even a vegetable oil in your cupboard will do.)
Mash avocado and then add almond oil or oil of your choice. Apply to face, avoiding the eye area, and let set for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water then cool water. Follow with toner and moisturizer.

Avocado Honey Face Mask - for dry skin
2 tablespoons of avocado
2 tablespoons honey
1 egg yolk
Mash the avocado, add the honey and egg. Mix until thoroughly blended. Apply to face avoiding the eye area. Let set 10 minutes then rise with warm water then cool water. Follow with toner and moisturizer.

Avocado Mask for Oily Skin
1 avocado, mash
1 egg white
1 tsp. lemon juice
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until you get a mixture. Apply to a clean face with fingertips on the oiliest part of the face (T-zone). Let dry for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water then cool water, follow with toner and moisturizer.

Avocado's can be hard to find and/or a little pricey if living in a northern climate, so here are some recipes that use avocado oil instead.

Dry Skin Cleansing Cream
1/2 oz. Beeswax
1 oz. Lanolin
2 oz. Almond Oil
1 oz. Avocado Oil
1 oz. Grapeseed Oil
2 drops Clary-Sage Essential Oil
2 drops Lemon Essential Oil
3 oz. Spring Water
Using a double boiler, melt beeswax, lanolin, and oils. Stir well. When melted, take off heat and add essential oils, then water. Wisk until cool.

how to pick good avocados
how to pick good avocados
My Stephanotis has grown a fruit! It looks like a x between an avocado& pear. Is it edible & should I pick it?

General information:
http://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profiles1004/stephanotisfruiting.asp

All the sites I found said NO. Don't eat it.

Picking the right after sun moisturizer can literally mean the difference between looking young, and beautiful, or looking old, and wrinkled.

The reason is because almost all products on the market today contain ingredients that will harm your skin in the long run.

And I don’t just mean harm a little, some of them have been known to cause cancer. Dioxane for example has been declared by the state of California to cause cancer, why would you want that on your skin.

It’s weird that other states haven’t banned it yet, and to think that people are actually paying money for these kind of after sun moisturizers.

You can find any old after sun moisturizer in your local store, that is for sure. But if you really want to find a good one, you will have to invest in buying a very good natural moisturizer.

Once I stopped thinkin “after sun” and started thinking ingredients and quality, my skin started looking a lot better.

The ingredients you want to look for in a good after sun moisturizer, and a skin care product are Cynergy TK, Active Manuka Honey, Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil, and Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10.

So if you want to avoid the dangers of the chemicals in our skin care products today, you will have to do a little bit of your own research, but it is worth it. Once I put in the time, and found a product that I now use daily, I realized how important it was.

Are you still confused? Not quite satisfied with this article? Read the follow-up article on how I found a good after sun moisturizer, and how you can too, by learning a few secrets about the skin care industry. Visit my website to learn more.

hair avocado oil
hair avocado oil
anyone use avocado oil for scalp and hair? does it work?

DEPENDS ON HOW YOUR HAIR TAKES IT! IT MAY WORK FOR SOME AND NOT FOR OTHERS.

There are many benefits to use avocado butter, not the least of them that it makes your skin look alive, vibrant and full of health. Add to that the fact that it is completely natural, and it becomes a very attractive choice as an addition to your range of preferred skin care products.

There are several synthetic alternatives you could choose, each of which claims the same benefits as avocado butter, but have you really considered their benefits and the truth of what they claim?  Do you understand the meaning of that large ingredients list?  Let's digress for just a short while and discuss the vitamin and supplement industry.

Supplements are available in almost any shape and form:  vitamins, minerals and even complex mixtures known as athletic supplements are marketed as being effective in improving fitness, stamina and just about any other health benefit you can imagine. Yet the experts are still out on the difference between the actual benefits claimed for these and those realized in practice.  They are not necessarily the same, and there are some real biochemical reasons for that.

The reason is synergy.  That word relates to different substances working better together than either could apart. Take the example of a secretary and the guy that delivers her letters by courier.  To outsiders, the secretary is great at getting these letters and invoices delivered on time. However, that is meaningless if the courier is not on duty - it gets delivered a day late.

In the same way, many vitamins and minerals are well known for their beneficial effects, but there is no point in taking a calcium supplement if the couriers - magnesium and vitamins C and D - are missing! They are the substances that actually take the calcium into your bone structure. That is why natural sources are better:  they have the courier and the secretary provided in the one package, just as they should be. That is also why avocado butter is a far superior skin care substance than any synthetic product.

It contains the antioxidant vitamins A, E and D that kill of the free radicals that age your skin. A very scientific and comforting explanation of how it works, unlike that of the synthetic emulsified oils, containing surfactants that can damage your skin, rather than help it, and other even more toxic substances. It contains a natural sunscreen that protects your skin and hair from the damaging effects of the ultraviolet radiation of the sun.

Avocado butter also contains lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids that are beneficial to your skin, and it melts at only 30C - 35C making it very easy to apply tom your skin.
It can be used to moisturize dry skin ad it can also help to reduce the appearance of age spots, sometimes referred to as liver spots, caused by the oxidation of fatty deposits just under your skin.

So, don't use these potentially toxic artificial labeled products, but try pure avocado oil next time you are looking for a skin care product.  You won't regret it, and will likely be hooked on it for life: your skin certainly will!

Nearly every woman and an increasing number of men use facial moisturizers daily. Does the one you use today, contain any anti-aging and anti-wrinkle ingredients?

Naturally, a cream including substances capable of reducing fine lines and wrinkles helps make skin smoother and more youthful looking. After all that's what we're all trying to achieve by applying an anti-wrinkle face moisturizer daily.

A moisturizing cream is meant to help hydrate facial tissue cells by adding water. It's also designed to minimize water loss by improving the skins water holding capacity. If you use a good quality cream containing natural emollients, antioxidants and oils in high active amounts you get an excellent result.

However, consider for a moment what can be achieved by including some special unique ingredients. That are capable of boosting your own bodies levels of collagen and elastin protein cells, to help remove fine lines and improve on those deeper wrinkles.

By using an effective moisturizer daily, you will notice an immediate improvement to your skins tone and texture. However, a little more patience is needed for the anti-wrinkle ingredients to kick in. Consistent daily application is the secret.

Some good natural emollient and anti-oxidant moisturizing and hydrating ingredients worth noting are -- D-Panthenol... Macadamia Oil... Shea Butter... Jojoba Oil... Avocado oil... Crodamol CP… and Glycerin.

Substances proven in clinical trials to boost collagen and elastin re-growth and remove fine lines and wrinkles are Cynergy TK"(TM)"... and Lipobelle H-EQ10 (a special type of Coenzyme Q10).

I don't know about you, but it makes good sense to me, to use a dual-purpose skin cream with the ability to moisturize and reduce wrinkles at the same time. Especially, if competitively priced.

We all want a nice smooth well-moisturized face with fewer wrinkles. This can be easily achieved provided you choose the best anti-wrinkle face moisturizer with the above proven special ingredients.

If you are anything like me, you would be looking for ways to turn back the clock and once again have a smooth, firm skin. Organic skin care is one way to do it right – it’s natural, safe and effective. But what does it really mean? Let’s find out.

Organic skin care can be summed up in one word – natural. That means no invasive skin treatments like Botox or Collagen injections, no chemical treatments like bleaching. You have to rely on natural methods and natural ingredients only to rejuvenate your skin.

The problem with artificial treatments is, they are temporary in nature. For example, if you take a Botox injection to remove wrinkles from your skin, it may provide some immediate results. But its effects will begin to wear out in a few months and you will have to take the injection again.

This cycle will continue as long as you want to have a smooth skin. The day you stop the injection, your skin will be back to its original, wrinkled self.

On the other hand, if you follow basic organic skin care, you will have a naturally glowing and healthy skin that will last for many-many years.

To begin with, you must understand that your skin is a reflection of your inner health. If your body is ill and lacking in nutrients, you cannot hope to have a healthy and beautiful skin.

So you need to have a balanced diet with enough fruits and vegetables in it to provide you with all the vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy skin and body. Drinking plenty of water will clean up the toxins from your body and hydrate your skin too. Do not forget to protect your skin from the elements also. Apply a good sunscreen when going out in the sun. A pair of sunglasses and a hat will also help in shielding your face from direct sunlight.

Now you can add on some natural substances in your quest for a youthful skin. Organic skin care products contain some amazing natural ingredients that are very good for the skin.

Take Cynergy TK for example. This natural extract enhances the production of Collagen and Elastin in the skin. These two proteins are essential for having a smooth and elastic skin that is free from wrinkles. It also contains Functional Keratin™ - a protein found throughout the body.

Functional Keratin™ enables the production of new skin cells to replace the old and worn out ones. It is also an effective moisturizer and has been known to increase the moisture content in the skin by over 20%.

CoQ10 is a powerful anti oxidant that protects the skin from free radical damage.

Avocado Oil is a rich oil that penetrates deep into the skin and heals and moisturizes it from within. It also contains many vitamins and minerals that keep the skin nourished and healthy. This oil is also effective at preventing age spots from developing on the skin.

Make no mistake about it. Organic skin care is the way to go for a healthy, beautiful skin – naturally.

Article Source: ArticlesBase.com - Principles of Organic Skin Care

Have you ever imagined the gorgeous eyes of the ancient beauty that developed one of the first organic skin care recipes? Where did she live? Perhaps she lived in Egypt. Maybe she was one of the women who helped to care for Cleopatra.

Of course, Egyptian women were not the only ancient females who displayed an interest in organic skin care products. A woman in ancient Persian might well have been the creator of one of the original recipes for skin care. Such a woman might have captivated the thoughts of Alexander the Great.

Today, some women would love to sample one of those ancient organic skin care products. Recipes that seem to create an old-style skin product have been posted online. As shown below, those recipes underscore how well resourceful, ancient women used the plants that were available to them.

Ancient women knew how to make a face mask. The typical diet of a Persian contained many of the foods that might go into a face mask. Some women no doubt created masks using bananas, cucumbers, persimmon, watermelon and honey.

Women with drier skin probably used a mask that contained less water and more oil. The recipe for their mask might have called-for the mashing and mixing of a carrot, a melon, and an avocado in a bowl that held both yogurt and honey.

In addition to using face masks, ancient women would pamper their skin while bathing. Some ancient women might well have spent hours luxuriating in a milk and honey bath. Such a bath would have allowed their skin to soak in a mixture of hot water, sea salt, baking soda, vanilla oil and, of course, milk and honey.

On a hot summer day, an ancient beauty would certainly have favored a more refreshing bath. She might then have chosen to take a citrus bath. She might have had her servants mince the peel of a lemon, a lime, a grapefruit and a tangerine. Then she could have poured those minced peels into a blend of citrus juices. She could then pour the resulting mixture into her bath water.

The women who lived in those ancient times knew nothing about the biochemistry of the body's endothelial cells. Those women had never heard the word "collagen" or "elastin." Today, smart women are learning about collagen and elastin. What are collagen and elastin, and how do those chemicals have a place in the arena of organic skin care?

Some organic skin care products might have the word "collagen" on the label. Collagen is a protein. Due to its fibrous nature, collagen can provide a living cell with added strength. When cells have the ability to produce collagen, then those cells can remain firm to the touch. When those cells are in the body's outermost organ (the skin) then those cells do not allow the creation of wrinkles.

Still, the cells on the outermost part of the body can not avoid the force of gravity. For that reason such cells need to contain elastin. This makes those cells flexible. Without elastin, those cells would never be able to return to their original location, after they had shifted away from that position.

Does that mean that a modern-day woman should look for organic skin care products that contain elastin? No, she needs to find a product that can stimulate her skin cells to produce both. Once she has found such a product she can copy one action practiced by ancient women.

That was the act of staring in the mirror and admiring a face with well-toned and youthful skin.

Beet juice separating from homemade organic lip gloss?

I've made my own lip gloss for awhile now, beeswax, avocado or sweet almond oil, vit. e oil and flavour with essential oils like cinnamon bark oil, peppermint etc. Now I'm trying to make a lip stain, using reduced beet juice. I've read tons of recipes where people do the same - but I'm having a problem with the beeswax and beet juice separating when cooled, leaving a chunk of beeswax on top, and liquid beet juice below.
Any suggestions for what I can reduce the beets in that will mix with the beexwax/oil?

Thanks!

I've been making skin care products for almost ten years, and it sounds like the problem you're having is that you've introduced a water phase into your oil phase (oil phases include waxes). To get the two to blend takes some trial and error with temperature, emulsifiers, and blending.

First, the water phase (your beet juice) and the oil phase (everything else you listed) need to be heated separately. There are some guideline temperatures to follow, but I've never used them, I just use intuition and I've never had a problem. But, having them both similar temperatures is important.

Add the water phase slowly into the oil phase and blend. A stick blender works great for this. You may not be using one already, since its not necessary for oil products, but it is needed to blend oils and waters.

Beeswax is kind of an emulsifier, but it might not be enough to blend the two phases. Borax can be used, but personally I like soy lecithin. You just need a small amount, no more than 3% of the whole product.

I've never made tinted anything, but I've read about beet powder. If you can get your hands on this, it might eliminate the problem all together. From what I've read, it's just powdered beets, and you'd just add it straight into the oil while you're heating it. My guess would be that it would dye the oil and there'd be nothing to separate out.

What happens when an avocado's pit is soft?

Is there anything wrong with the avacado? I became a fan of the avacado a couple years back, and about ten minutes ago I cut one in half. Then when I normally give the pit a good whack with a knife and twist the pit out. This time the pit split! Like i was cutting wood, I quartered the thing. This hasn't happened before and It got me thinking. Anybody know why this would happen? Or is it just that some pits are harder than others.
Also, I just ate the avacado I was talking about. It was delicious.

It might be a bit riper than other avocados you've had. I had that happen to me once and about cut my finger in half! I whacked the knife into the pit (while holding it in my left hand) and went right THROUGH the whole darn thing, cutting into my ring finger. I lost feeling in it for a few months, scared the heck outta me! Avocados are worth it though.....tasty little green things :)

What if I told you to stop using any brand name body cream. Well, for one thing you would certainly want to know why, right!

I will start by saying that most brand name products simply are not effective at moisturizing and rejuvenating your skin.

The most effective body cream should contain specific natural ingredients that are rich in vitamins and minerals. Your typical brand name product is usually chock full of chemicals and synthetic additives.

What do you think is better for your skin? Obviously, it is a body cream full of potent plant extracts that penetrate deep into the skin to heal and moisturize from the inside out.

Chemicals and synthetic additives can potentially can harm to you or your skin. And, unfortunately many skin care products contain these ingredients.

Let’s look at some of the ingredients that you should avoid. One of the worst ingredients used these days is mineral oil. Mineral oil is a petroleum product that offers little to no value to your skin.

It is a very cheap additive, which is why it is used so often. It can actually dry out your skin after prolonged use. In addition, it can clog your pores, which leads to acne breakouts as well.

Clearly, this is not a substance that you would want on your skin. A good natural body cream will not contain this harmful ingredient.

Can Skin Care Products Cause Cancer?

This is hard to believe, but there are some ingredients used in brand name products that can potentially cause cancer.

A preservative called parabens is widely used in skin creams and lotions. This preservative will prolong the shelf life of the product, which means it sits on the store shelf until someone buys it.

Studies have found parabens in the breast tissue of women suffering from breast cancer. It is inconclusive as to whether the parabens caused the cancer but there is certainly cause for alarm.

Avoid using products that contain parabens. A good natural body cream will not contain this ingredient.

Now that you know a couple of ingredients to avoid in a body cream, what are some of the ingredients you should be looking for?

Natural essential oils are rich in vitamins and nutrients your skin needs in order to look and feel healthy.

Specific oils include Avocado oil, Macadamia oil, Jojoba oil and Grapeseed oil. These oils penetrate deep into the skin and do not leave an oily residue either.

Another very effective natural substance is Cynergy TK. Most people have not heard of this substance, but it is a major breakthrough in natural skin care.

Cynergy TK can actually help to stimulate the re-growth of vital skin proteins. This helps in reducing the signs of aging. If you truly want an effective body cream then choose one that contains this amazing substance.

Well, there you have it. Now the rest is up to you. You can continue to use a chemical based body cream or one rich in safe, effective natural ingredients.

I am going back to being a vegetarian but I hate beans, what can I subsitute?

for beans? Avocados, tofu, etc. I mean I really really hate beans.....
Yes I am looking to get the protein I wont get from not eating beans, and I hate all beans...just don't like them....I do not eat eggs, nor do I eat fish...I do however still eat dairy products:)

Cottage cheese actually has a lot of protein. Other good stuff:
Soy milk, tofu, tempeh, veggie fake meat products (usually soy), lentils if you don't consider them a bean:), hummus/chickpeas, whole grains, dairy products, peas and nuts.
Hope that helps a little:)
Also here is a good site- if you scroll down to the bottom they have charts of different food groups with the amount of protein in each food listed.

You won't regret it, and will likely be hooked on it for life: your skin certainly will!

revolutionary avocado
revolutionary avocado

Are you sick and tired of waking up with parched skin begging for natural repair or moisturization? Then its high time you switch from your old ineffective skin care products to the best over the counter night cream suited for your skin type, and let the nourishing action of new exciting, & cutting edge substances of the moisturizing cream work while you sleep.

Let me tell you a quick story about how I came to realize the benefits of a good cream not just for the face but down to the neck area. Bad skin on these parts can make you look really ugly and wrinkled before your time.

A female boss of mine is a commercial model and she still looks ravishing even in her late 40s. She advised me to compare night creams and invest on one to counteract my skin's exposure to the elements. Even though I was in my late 20's when she told me this, I heeded her advice. It turned out to be one of the best beauty tips I have ever received.

Friends, acquaintances, and relatives all say I look younger than my biological age, and I attribute it not just to a happy disposition in life, adequate sleep and stress management but to sound beauty advice. I also learned to check out the feel-good ingredients and anti-aging abilities of the revolutionary products, tested a few skin repair products under distinctive brand names, and learned the merits of quality natural finds.

It is usually not enough to rely on brands alone (though certain brands live up to their touted benefits), or the celebrity endorsing the best day and night cream. Before you compare night creams, look for products that has the thumbs-up from dermatologists and buying that one may be better due to the stamp of approval and trust on the product quality and effectivity.

You may also rely on trial and error until you've stumbled into the perfect product - one that supplies moisture, soothes & refreshes, boosts collagen & elastin production and enhances your complexion.

Using a night cream ought to be a part of any woman's daily skin care regimen, especially when she reaches her 30s and when there is wisdom in prevention. Busy working women who travel to countries with cold climates, work late nights and deprive themselves of sleep, and constantly smoke and drink alcohol stand to develop premature wrinkles and age spots more than those who have healthier lifestyle habits.

Dull, uneven and patchy skin can make people look tired and old, and creams with vital hydrating ingredients emerge as the best defense against free radical damage. Free radicals -- things continually discussed in beauty & health online sites, magazines, and books - refer to oxygen-based scavengers easily wending their way in bodies deprived of sleep and essential nutrients.

Compare night creams to find the best solution to ward off free radicals, and find out how antioxidants work in strengthening the body internally and externally in order to protect cells from oxidative damage leading to premature aging and disease. When overwhelmed with so many options, go for one with naturally derived ingredients that suit sensitive, combination, or all skin types.

Look for ingredients that sound good enough to eat, like avocado (with superb re-hydrating and skin cell-replenishing properties), almond oil (with skin softening and anti-inflammatory benefits), olive oil (which can be made into a night cream but requires some patience), to name some.

Whether you want to make your own natural skin care remedy or would rather invest on the best over the counter night cream, discover first which powerful ingredients deliver the best anti-aging effects, smoothen fine lines, and soften wrinkles.

Avocado oil is renowned for its healing, anti-bacterial, and anti-wrinkle properties. Technically a fruit, unrefined Avocado Oil is cold pressed from avocado pear and is deep green slightly brownish in colour, while refined Avocado oil is pale yellow.

The unrefined version of avocado oil with deep penetrating qualities has strong aroma and is rich in vitamin A, D, lecithin, potassium and chlorophyll. This moisturizing oil is beneficial for rash, eczema, mature, parched and aging skin. Refined avocado oil is preferred because it is odorless and is used during intensive facial treatment for mature skin.

Rich in vitamin A, B1, B2, panthothenic acid and essential fatty acids; hence its regenerative properties and restructuring powers keep the skin moisturized, and elastic.

The lecithin and phytosterols make it excellent oil for massage: easily absorbed and silky. The penetrative powers of this oil is much more than other oils, thus it is ideal massage oil for skin and body treatments. It stimulates the collagen metabolism, increasing the proportion of soluble collagen in the dermis, helps in cell regeneration, retards visible signs of aging and remarkably softens the skin. It is also very useful when treating sun or climate damaged skin that is dehydrated and under nourished. Avocado oil is very safe to use in cosmetics because it suitable for all skin types, eliminating concern for allergic reactions. It's also a good stimulant for hair.

The avocado fruit holds similar qualities of avocado oil for skin nourishment. Vitamin E provides moisturizing properties for smooth silky skin. Vitamin E decreases harmful effects of solar radiation, reduces UV induced damage and decreases skin redness after sun exposure. The fruit when rubbed topically on dry and sun damaged skin moisturizes and soothes the affected area. The skin of avocado fruit when rubbed like a loofah exfoliates the dead skin.

For a natural sunscreen, pour some zinc oxide into a bottle half full of avocado oil and shake well. Apply on skin that is exposed to the sun.

Mix 10 drops of lavender essential oil to 1 oz of avocado oil. Massage this oil for a soothing back rub for 15 - 20 minutes.

How do i plant an avocado seed?

my mom and i are doin a garden and we need help on how to plant an avocado seed please help!!!!!!!!

From what I've seen the two-toothpick method is the way to go.

stick 2 toothpicks into the seed, one on each side. Please this on a glass. Fill the glass so that half the seed is covered with water.

it is very rare that trees started this way will yield fruit.

Are you frustrated with your moisturizing products? Are they just not working as well as they should? If so, perhaps you are using an oil free moisturizer. These products are very common and they are not very effective.

The reason that an oil free moisturizer is not very effective is because they contain inferior ingredients. It costs much less to manufacture a product that contains cheap ingredients than it does to make a product with more expensive and more effective ingredients. Unfortunately, chemical additives are usually what is added and these are not good for your skin.

Some of the chemical additives in oil free moisturizer products can potentially cause cancer. Specifically, the preservatives or parabens that are added are potentially harmful to you. Skin care products do not need preservatives. They are only added to give the product a longer shelf life, which means the product stays on the store shelf until it is sold.

The bottom line is, avoid using an oil free moisturizer. Use a product that contains natural ingredients and specific plant based natural oils. The one oil to stay away from is mineral oil. It may leave your skin feeling soft and moist but it will clog your pores and that could lead to an acne breakout. Mineral is a derivative of petroleum jelly; these are not good for your skin. In addition, they will leave a greasy layer on your skin.

So, do not use an oil free moisturizer and avoid a moisturizer that contains mineral oil. The best ones contain natural oils such as avocado, grape seed and macadamia oils. These natural oils are very good for your skin for several reasons. One reason is that they are rich in antioxidants, which is vital to repairing damaged skin cells. In addition, avocado oil is important to stimulating the re-growth of a vital skin protein known as collagen.

An oil free moisturizer is not the best way to hydrate your skin. Stick to a product that contains specific natural oils and you will notice an improvement in the look and feel of your skin. If you would like more information please visit my website today.

when do i pick avocados

when do i pick avocados
when do i pick avocados
How do I grow an avocado tree from an avocado seed?

I love avocados.
Today I was eating one (yes I will sit and eat an entire avocado, with a little salt and pepper on it), and when I was finished, I had a big shiny seed left over. I thought, maybe I could grow this into an avocado tree, and one day pick my own avocados off it.

Will such a seed from a supermarket avocado grow into a tree?
What's the best way to do it?

Yes, the seed from a supermarket avocado will sprout and grow. I have one about 4 feet tall right now. The point end goes down. Put toothpicks about a third of the way down the seed in a glass of water. Be patient, it takes monthes for it to even begin to show that it's growing. After it has a shoot and root you can put it in a flower pot. If your in sub tropic climate I guess you could plant it outside, but I live in Va and I have mine in the house.
thanks

Skin care creams are all over the place. There are creams for wrinkles, for moisturizing, toning, stretch marks, and more. This leaves the average person confused about what products is right for them. In this article were going to take a look at how to sort through the confusion.

What Are You Looking For?

The first place to start is to decide what kind of cream you actually need. Do you need a good moisturizer? Are you looking for an anti-aging cream? Are you trying to reduce stretch marks?

The next part is to decide if you want a natural organic product or are you willing to go the chemical root. I recommend that you stick with more natural products. There are many chemicals in some skin care products that could harm your skin.

Ingredients To Look For

If your going to go natural then you need to know what to look for. I'm going to give you a short list of ingredients that are commonly found in natural products. This will give you an idea of what they do and how they can help you.

Aloe Vera: This is one of the more common and widely known ingredients. You can get in gel or even juice form. The great thing about aloe is that it help moisturize the skin and heal it. If you have dry skin then this is highly recommended or if your just looking for a good moisturizer.

Apple Cider Vinegar: This is a very powerful ingredient. This can help with acne prone skin an help even out skin tone. Many people find that drinking it helps them with acid reflux.

Avocado Oil: A great ingredient that is found in many products for dry skin and eczema. It also has lots of fatty acids and vitamins that are good for the skin in it.

Apricot Kernel: This is mostly a moisturizer. It is completely natural and is used in some of the better natural products for the skin and hair care.

Ingredients To Avoid

There are many ingredients that you should avoid exposing your skin too. We will now take a look at a few of those.

Mineral Oil: There are a number of ingredients in skin care products disguised as mineral oil. One of the is petrolatum. Mineral oil is bad for moisturizing the skin and is also bad when it comes to protecting yourself form the sun.

Propylene Glycol: This ingredient is well known to not play nice with peoples skin. This ingredient can be toxic to the skin and dry it out.

Fragrances: These could be fragrances that can be found in perfume, makeup, or any other skin care product. The problem is the amount of chemicals they contain. They are loaded with chemicals and you won't know what is really in them.

Chemistry is the key ingredient in making your own skin care products, and the topic that will be discussed today is the simple of use of natural chemistry, in other words using mostly earth borne products with a little know how to create your own skin care products. I would advise anyone who is trying to do this not to do it on their own. The dangers of being a misguided chemist can sometimes lead to disastrous results, so always refer to a trusted source before you decide to embark on this journey. It is a wise decision to have control over the sort of ingredients that goes into your skin creams, because after all, we only have a single epidermis. And although it has the ability to regenerate quite well, we should never put it at risk.

Before you embark on your self made skin care products, there are 3 crucial things you should know about. One of them is the type of ingredients that you are using. Although most of the guides you can get to making your own skin care products contain 100% natural and plant based ingredients that you can get anywhere, it is always better to get a full allergy check-up and skin health test. Also, ask a qualified dermatologist on what ingredients are naturally good for the skin and what to avoid. Knowledge is power and once you are armed with enough, then you can make the wise decisions in making a product that is literally tailored for you. Also, you need to have a good idea on the sort of products and ingredients that you might be using. I will highlight some of the best natural products that you can utilise in your skin cream soufflé.

Let's start with the A's - Aloe Vera, Avocado and Apples. These are the ingredients you should be using because they are soothing and extremely cool to your skin. They help in alleviating pain, scabs, scars and itching. Moisturizing factors of avocado are also legendary and together with apples, they contain important Vitamin A and C, as well as anti-oxidants to get rid of white, flaky and dry skin. Going to the B's, we have bananas and the minute blueberry - which contains all the important vitamins for healthy skin as well as some healing properties. Egg white works wonders on slick and oily skin and the everyday garlic combined with green tea are the natural antiseptics of the herbal world. Honey is not just a sweetener or great on pancakes - it is high in Vitamins B - E.

Then you have lemon, milk, oatmeal, olive oil, strawberry, sugar, wheat and all natural yogurts. These are the most common and most effective natural ingredients people have been using for a long time and their effects are just as good as those found on retail shelves. So do consider some of these crucial things before you make your own skin care products.

Many consumers feel that they are using the best skin care products, but in all honesty, they are probably not. You will not find the best creams and lotions at the local department store. Many of these products contain ingredients that are potentially harmful to your skin.

Some of the harmful ingredients include mineral oil, parabens and fragrances. If you use a product that contains some of these ingredients, then it is advisable to try a safer product. The best skin care products on the market today are natural products. They are much safer and more effective than synthetic or chemical based ones.

Mineral oil is used in many products these days. That is because it is a cheap additive and that just adds to the bottom line of the large cosmetic companies. Mineral oil will leave your skin feeling soft; however, it can clog your pores, which leads to other skin conditions such as acne breakouts.

Fragrances have been known to cause skin irritations and allergic reactions. Parabens are preservatives that are added to give the product a longer shelf life. This means it can sit on the store shelf until someone buys it. In addition, parabens are potential cancer causing agents and have been banned in Europe.

The best skin care products contain specific natural ingredients that help to stimulate the re-growth of vital skin proteins. These proteins are called collagen and elastin. Collagen is a fiber-like protein that gives your skin its structure and elastin gives your skin its elasticity.

The reason why you want a product that helps stimulate protein production is that when we get older, our body produces less and less of these proteins. This leads to lines and wrinkles forming on our skin.

If you want to treat the cause of the lines and wrinkles then you need to apply the best skin care products. Treating the cause is much better than simply masking the symptoms.

The most effective ingredients are natural ingredients such as essential oils like Babassu oil, avocado oil and macadamia oil. They penetrate deep into the layers of skin and do not leave a greasy feeling.

To stimulate the re-growth of collagen and elastin, certain natural substances must be applied to the skin. One of the most effective natural ingredients is Cynergy TK. It is found in only the very best skin care products. It is very effective at boosting the production of collagen and elastin.

If you would like more information on the natural ingredients used in the best skin care products then please take a minute and visit my website today.

It is known as "makhanphal" (butter fruit) in Hindi but since you are in Hyderabad, in Telegu --- it's "venna pandu".
